Receiving pattern, voice & form through working with spirits
Objects with spiritual purpose can be found in shamanic traditions around the world. They may be carried for protection or support, embody particular spiritual qualities, or provide a tangible connection with helping spirits — from small amulets worn on the body to objects created for use in ceremony.
Through journeying and trance work, you can explore what an object might be for and what form it might take. A pattern, symbol, texture or design may be received for a particular quality — such as courage, protection, strength, balance or support — or an object may be created to deepen your connection with a helping spirit.
At the heart of this work is the process of bringing something encountered through your relationship with spirits into physical form. The form of the piece emerges from its purpose and from what you receive — giving tangible expression to something first encountered through that relationship.
